Bali is on your mind. I just know it. How could it not be? Among all of my adventures around the world, Bali holds a beautiful place in my heart,too.

My story

I moved to Indonesia to teach English in Jakarta at the beginning of 2020 (pre-pandemic baby!). Once the world began to shut down and we entered our own intense lock-down, I made the bold decision to stay.

Scary as it was, it was better than going back home.

I lasted 6 months in Jakarta before my mental and physical health took a toll and I needed to get the hell out of there. A friend and I quit our jobs and moved to Bali. We intended to explore Indonesia until we ran out of money or visas.

Neither of which ever happened.

We found fantastic jobs and settled into our life in Ubud. When our visas came due, we applied for an investor visa and set up our own company. The world wasn’t open, so why not try something new by building a business and life we loved?

Fast forward 3.5 years, I have been all over Bali, explored nearby islands, and visited many other regions of Indonesia (17 islands so far!). I built a wonderful community of local and foreign friends and mentors who greatly impacted my life. They helped me dive deeper into myself and this beautiful country more than I ever could have had I only visited for a week or two.
